You can actually bid on a genuine Constable's Bobby Hat from the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary (D&C). The D&C Constabulary is the Home Office police force responsible for policing the counties of Devon and Cornwall in England, as well as the unitary authorities of Plymouth, Torbay, and the Isles of Scilly.
Although everyone thinks of the London Metropolitan Police Force, unknown to most is that the D&C Constabulary, in existence since April 1, 1967, is in fact the largest police force area in England by geographical area covered. It is also the fifth largest in the United Kingdom. Plus, the force maintains an established 3,500 police officers as well as 600 special constables.

This helmet is in perfect condition and was maintained in a non smoking environment. The leather chin strap however is slightly worn, but is definetely functional and in tact.
