Up for bid is an outstanding set of British issue body armor. Auction is for two removeable camo covers, one in desert DPM, the other in woodland DPM, the kevlar vest insert and two strike plates. This set is all 100% original British MOD issue. The desert DPM cover is the newest issue with rank tab and nylon reinforcements around the plate pocket. Overall condition is excellent to minty. The strike plates look to be brand new. Basically, this is an entire vest with interchangeable covers depending on w you are being deployed. British body armor is meant to be a modular system with a removeable, washable cover. This is the armor that British troops trusted their lives to during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The size on both covers and kevlar insert is 180/104 which translates to about a size medium. This body armor is very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and will afford the wearer a high degree of protection. The strike plates are worn over the heart area in the front and the rear of the vest and are designed to protect the chest from small to medium caliber rounds. Although this vest will no doubt be completely funtional, I am selling it as a collectors item only and make no claims otherwise. Wear it at your own risk.
