British Butterflies by E. B. Ford. Contains 16 colour plates by Paxton Chadwick. Number 41 in the collectible King Penguin series of monographs. First edition - published in 1951. Retains original unclipped wrapper. Book in excellent condition. Boards and spine bright. No inscriptions. Binding firm. Contents clean and bright. Stunning colour illustrations are pristine. Dust jacket is unclipped and in very good condition. Spine area of wrapper slightly darkened with small nibbles to top of spine area. Wrapper has 2 small repaired (on inside) closed edge tear. Scarce title even scarcer in this condition.
