This is a 2nd pattern F-S fighting knife made by Wilkinson Sword-london. On one side of the blade clearly etched is the Wilkinson logo, and on the other is F-S Fighting Knife. With regard to marking on wilkinson F-S knives, there was only the Wilkinson Sword logo and the F-S logo. No other marks during WWII production. There are no inspection marks or "Broad Arrow" on Wilkinson F-S knives, and no letter or number. The Fact that this one has a bright blade would indicate manufacture prior to Febuary 6, 1943; After that date ALL Wilkinson F-S knives had a black finish. This one is tight, with factory edge, there are age stains on the blade, but no nicks or pitting. One tab on the Scabbard is missing, and the stitching where the elastic was at the top of the sheath is gone (see pictures). I am not an expert on this knife, but have researched as best I can and will happily answer any question you may have. ! U.S. and Canadian Shipping ONLY. Shipped Priority Mail.
