Up for auction is an Original Corporal Majors Cap of the Famous "Life Guards", trimmed with five rows of Gold Lace signifying a Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer Class 2, or as known in the Life Guards as Corporal Major. Made of blue cloth with red piping and a red cap band along with the famous small black plastic peak. Complimenting the cap is the black plastic chin strap and the two anodized Queens Crown Buttons. In front is the Kings Crown Cap badge, it is original, consisting of gilt and enamel. The Badge is older than the Cap. The Badge itself is extremely rare and hard to find, because it is the "Royal Cypher of King Edward the Eighth." Which probably means due to tradition, it(Regimental Badges) were handed down from one W.O.to another W.O.(Father to son for example) T are no holes and the Cap is in excellent condition. It has a inner circumference of appx. 22" or 57 cm. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. This is quite a find. Good luck and happy bidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
