BRITISH EMPIRE Pattern 1803 Infantry / Flank Officer Sword the pattern dress sword for the British Empire's Infantry Officers during the Napoleonic period battles. Many had already been adopted by light infantry officers as the design is far better suited for practical slashing blows than the previous 1796 Pattern. Features the distinctive knucklebow and lions head around the black leather grip, this sword is both beautiful and practical. Fantastic curved blade comes with leather and brass scabbard with solid rings. Blade length is 32 inches (38 inches overall). This brand new replica is as exactly the same as possible to the real thing, quality high carbon steel blade, firm and accurate hilt, beautiful blade this is a museum quality piece.
