An original, full-size, British War medal named to "4040509 PTE L.A. GOUDREAULT, Q.R." For service with the Quebec Regiment. With a copy of his service file revealing that Leon Alderide Goudreault was born in Quebec City on February 2nd, 1897. He was 21 years old when he enlisted with the Quebec Regiment on 3th April, 1918. He arrived in England 8-8-18 but quickly went to the Military Isolation Hospital at Alershott w he died 7-2-19. His cause of death is listed as "Cerebral Spinal Fever". His file confirms that he was entitled to the BWM, but not the star or the Victory medal, so this his only award.
