This is a British WWII (dated 1944) casualty stretcher bag. It is in almost new condition...no body included (I tried to get my wife to pose in it and was told 'no way'). It was also sometimes used as a sleeping bag by British mechanized units. It has an outer canvas liner with a zipper and an inner soft gray wool liner with a zipper. The shell and liner are interlaced with ties. T is a head area that is supported by a covered metal band. This is truly a rare piece of British militaria. Payment is in US funds by money order or personal check due 10 days after auction close. Please no international bidders other than from Canada as I have had payment and shipping problems with other countries. Shipping is $20.00 to the lower 48 states as this is a bulky and heavy item (about 10 pounds). Shipping to HI, AK and Canada may be slightly higher.
