Bronze sculpture on red marble (breche) base, France, beginning of 1900's. Signed by A. L. Bayre and foundry: Patrouille. Excellent condition. Will ship from France. Dimensions: bronze: 10.63 inches high x 26.39 inches long x 10.63 inches wide - base: 11.03 inches wide x 29.15 inches long by 2.16 inches high.
Antoine-Louis Barye 1796-1875 Barye's students included Auguste Rodin. Bayre was acclaimed by most as the finest sculptor of the French Animaliers school.
