Pure Bronze, Signed, Renaissance or Mannerist style, " Mercury " Figurine, on bespoke black Marble base I am an established supplier of quality, pure bronze, statues & figurines, offering many of the standard bronzes sold within the UK, together with some of the rarer bronzes. This extremely high quality bronze, produced by the hot cast, lost wax technique is securely mounted on a solid marble base Dimensional Data The statue, overall, is 435 mm high, to top of his right hand, around 160 mm wide & weighs 2,6 kgs The bespoke black marble base is 120 mm diameter at its widest x 90 mm high. General A stunning bronze piece, with incredible detail, adding distinction as either a centrepiece, or main attraction to any dwelling. A reproduction of the the original, c1580 version by Giambologna ( 1529 - 1608 ) a famous Italian ( in all but birth ) Artist & sculptor. A young Mercury, with arm aloft, prepares to take flight assisted by the blowing wind from Zephyr.
