During his 40 year artistic career Icart delighted lovers of Art Deco, a fashion directed almost exclusively towards women on both sides of the Atlantic. The Artist crafted his vision in bees wax, covered it in liquid clay and cooked it in a fire. In the flames the wax was lost, replaced by empty space. Then melted bronze was poured into the cavity of the fire hardened clay. The metal cooled and the sculptor knocked the clay from the metal. In order to finish his bronze sculpture the artist created different patina finishes by the chemical application of colors.
