Lost wax bronze casting of a small Duck created by German craft artist Karin Schmidt, and commissioned by Modern Art Foundry. This creation has a beautiful blue green patina. It measures 4 inches tall. 6” wide, and 3 ¼ inches deep. Foundry markings, initialed, year cast present. Weighing 5 pounds. Ready for shipping. Karin Schmidt lives in a small town near Bremen , Germany . She is the cousin of Modern Art Foundry's former President, Robert Spring . For many years she has worked in terracotta and created small figures and animals, which are painted and sold in local shops in Germany . During a trip to New York City , she created works exclusively for Modern Art Foundry's Alternative Space and Spring Gallery.
