Bronze Sculpture 'Sitting Hare - Small' 10"x5" - Paul Jenkins 'Sitting Hare - Small' is a gorgeous Frith cold cast bronze sculpture from Paul Jenkins, who sculpts the most striking hares. It measures approximately 10" tall by 5" (25 by 11cm), and the detail and quality are superb. It comes boxed, ready to give as a wonderful gift - or why don't you just treat yourself! Check out my other cold cast animal bronzes! These sculptures are what is known as 'cold cast bronze' or 'bronze resin'. This technique involves blending bronze powder with epoxy resin to produce a material which is applied to the interior of the silicone mould. Subsequent applications of this will produce a shell into which an armature (wire frame) can be constructed. The mould is then filled with a blend of resin and metal powders which are left to set. If this was solid bronze, it would be a LOT more expensive!
