I always have a lot of good silver listed at low opening bids and low shipping, so please check out my other auctions! This is a really nice antique or vintage solid sterling silver souvenir spoon from New York City. The handle has a nice twist design. The bowl is hand-engraved with a detailed scene of the Brooklyn Bridge, and the word, "Brooklyn", complete with a sailboat sailing under it. Really nice. The Brooklyn Bridge was considered a wonder of modern engineering and building when it was opened in 1883. Legend has it that the designer of the bridge was so sure it would fail that he committed suicide. it stands, safe and sound, after all these years. It is a demitasse, about 4" long.It is marked "Sterling" with no other hallmark. It is in very good condition, no damage, with just a little light scratching on the back of the bowl only. No monograms or other engraving. It is not tarnished and has a nice patina. PLEASE EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS!
