The limited edition CD BROTHERHOOD 1 & 2 is an excellent collection of the 2 rare LP’s BROTHERHOOD recorded for RCA in 1968 & 1969. The band was formed by Drake Levin, Phil “Fang” Volk and Mike "Smitty" Smith, the core of the original Paul Revere & The Raiders band, when Levin returned from the army in 1968. Adding Ron Collins on keyboards rounded out this great quartet. Both albums are excellent and feature great no frills rock & roll, cool songs, playing and harmonies the Raiders were always the best at doing. If the Raiders had continued with Levin, Volk & Smith in tow, it would have sounded more like this and not the bubblegum band they eventually became. This is a very underrated, literally overlooked band that deserves rediscovering now. Both albums are highly enjoyable and consistently excellent. Bonus tracks include the excellent "On The Road To Mexico", the rare Drake Levin solo single from 1968.Songs are: Somebody, Woman Unkind, Pastel Blue, Close The Door, Doin’ The Right Thing, Seasons, Love For Free, Lady Faire, Ice Cream, Jump Out The Window, Box Guitar, Forever, On The Road To Mexico (Drake Levin solo single -1968), Don’t Let Go, Glory Train, When The Chips Are Down, Back Home Again, Rose Garden, Deep Blue Sea, Family Tree, Love Sketch, Destination Unknown, When I Get Home, California Dreamin'.
