Brown Transfer HP English Spode Buttercup Butter Pat Woven Texture Embossed Vintage Fine Design Welcome to our royalbert antique auction and adorable transferware etc store for a lovely Vintage Buttercup pattern 3.25" diameter scalloped and embossed with "woven motif texture" Butter Pat of Cream Ironstone decorated first with dark, medium and light Chocolate Brown transfer, then hand over painted in bright cheerful yellow Butter Cup Flowers, pale blue blossoms and Spring green floral, stem, leaves within multiple complex slightly misplaced inner border of lace snow flake kaleidoscope stylized leaves, with rope twist line and upper and lower Buttercup outer borders. Signed in print on reverse as pictured, with numbers we cannot interpret, England, pattern name, printed Copeland Spode signature signifying manufacture by W. T. Copeland in England Staffordshire District after 1900 and before 1962. Condition: Barely used Original Vintage very good to excellent, with no cracks, chips, discoloration, stain or repair. Subject to early 1900's less than perfect manufacture, with many little placement, skip, stray and extra errors to transfer, tiny pits and "bumps" to texture, potter's marks at face and under side. From little or no use, we note few if any utensil scratches. Very clean suitable for use today at table or counter as spoon or tea bag holder, little taste individual serving dish for nuts or mints and fine display art object on wall, above Dining Room Chair Rail, or in cabinet, a lovely addition to any high quality Vintage naturalistic floral collection or display of well designed decorative art objects and a great example of fine design!
