A pearlware brown printed teapot made by Davenport in Staffordshire around 1835. The pattern is "Durham" and depicts a wonderful scene of the city and cathedral. The teapot is well molded with four scrolled feet and a dolphin like handle. The lid is the sugar bowl lid but the fit is excellent. Other than tiny nicks where the lid rests on the pot and a very tiny nick to the tip of the spout, condition is excellent with no cracks or restoration.
