A Tavern Stoneware Beauty We offer for your consideration this new stoneware pint tankard produced in Westerwald , Germany just as they were more than 230 years ago. The rings around the neck and mottled brown-gray finish are authentic and distinctive. It has the authentic hallmarks stamped into the base. Dishwasher safe, but hand washing recommended It weighs over 1 pound 9 ounces on my postal scale and it stands 5 inches tall! This is a hefty tankard. It may look 18th century in style, but this is a new piece. Tankards of this style have long been a fixture in colonial taverns and homes throughout New England. An embossed crest adds further visual appeal. It would bring a bygone charm to your home. Place it on your windowsill to catch the morning sunlight or fill it with flowers to make it your table centerpiece. Better still; fill it with your favorite ale. Please email us if you have any questions. As always, thanks for looking and bid now to bring this reminder of days long gone into your home.
