is an exquisite teapot from Brown Westhead Moore & Co. - in the Rococo taste - the compressed globular body supported by a scrolling foot, the bifurcated handle terminating in gilt-enhanced leafage, the spout joining the body with a circle of molded lappets, its underside painted with a gilt 'star', the shaped rim with a curled-over leaf tip near the handle, the lid with a ring finial - all decorated with colorful pansies, roses and forget-me-nots amid gilt scrollwork, scales and leafage. Height is approx. 6"; length is 9". Pouring holes done by hand. Base and inside lid signed BWM & Co. England Gilman Collamore & Co. 5th Ave. and 30th St. New York (retailers) and handpainted numerals. Condition is excellent - no chips, cracks or 'nicks'; enamels intact; gilding about 95 % intact (some losses at rims, not enough to really detract). This is a lovely pot - a wonderful display piece!
