Up for bid I have a RARE 1941 University of Minnesota football team reunion program and photos that originally belonged to the1941 Heisman Trophy Winner from Minnesota ...Bruce SmithThis program was given to Bruce Smith during his attendance at the20 th Anniversary celebration of the 1941 Minnesota football team reunion.The occasion was to celebrate the teams winning of the 1941 Big 10 and National Championships.The anniversary was held Friday, November 3 rd , 1961 at the Minneapolis Athletic Club.There were thirty-one former player and coaches in attendance and each one received one of these, how many can possibly still exist?The program features the likeness of Bruce Smith on the cover.Inside is a brief season in review, coaching staff bios, a team roster, and an address for each player at the time.The program is in excellent condition with only mild soiling on the front.All of the original pages are intact.The program contains only one autograph.It has been signed by legendary Illinois Football Coach Ray Eliot who was also in attendance.Best of all in the inscription he wrote which reads:To Bruce,The greatest of them all!Ray EliotThere are also four B&W photos from this reunion included with this lot of various sizes.All of them feature Bruce Smith with his teammates.One pictures Bruce with Coach Bernie Bierman.Three of the photos read more
