Each of these magnificent swag lamps was hand sculpted using a torch. 12 strips of "brutal" edged brass are welded to a wire-frame cylinder. Each brass strip is welded in three places showing attractive weld marks. The 12 strips overlap slightly leaving slim gaps that emit pleasing streaks of light on surrounding walls. Every other strip is set back about 4 inches from the centre. Every odd strip comes out to about 5 inches from centre. I have used a regular light bulb in these, but I think they would look even better with the long tube shaped bulbs. They weigh just over 4 pounds each and measure: 13 ¾" high x about 10" diameter. Each brass panel is about 2 ¼" wide. They each have 15 feet of cord with 10 feet of chain. They don't have an on/off switch on the cords, but they could be easily added if needed. These swag lamps are in great condition and would create a very dramatic lighting effect in any home, especially a mid century modern home. They are not signed.
