1969 BSR McDONALD FULLY AUTOMATIC COMPONENT RECORD CHANGER TURNTABLE This BSR automatic changer has been given a complete detailed cleaning - Every spec of accumulated dirt and grime has been painstakingly removed from the inner and outer cabinet; the mechanical parts have been properly cleaned, adjusted, re-greased and/or lubricated; new drive motor suspension mounts installed. Finally, a newly manufactured high-quality ceramic cartridge and diamond needle (stylus) has been installed. That said, this unit is 100% guaranteed to be as clean and functional as the first time it was removed from its box some 40 years ago. PLEASE NOTE : The needle on this player is for playing 45s and LPs. An optional "78" needle is available for purchase for under $14 through several eBay sellers. I will supply the winning bidder with all seller and replacement needle information so t won't be any worry of who/w to purchase them. It must be hooked up to one of the power sources mentioned above in order to get sound ** Cosmetics : The dust cover was damaged beyond even attempting to looking good. So, I trashed it and will be including a square sheet of fabric that can be used as a cover instead (see pic). It's way kewl, featuring a variety of antique record players. The plastic cabinet has a few minor scuffs, mostly on the back part. The metal turntable area is still in nice shape. T are a couple of spots that looks like touch-up paint was applied w the needle may have scraped on the base. With this new cartridge that will no longer be an issue. All in all, this is still a very nice looking unit and works flawlessly.
