Up for bid is a great bubble glass picture frame with a very nice reverse painting titled "On the Danube". This frame measures approximately 22 3/4" high X 16 3/4" wide. The glass is in excellent condition, no cracks or chips. The frame is the plaster over wood type that is painted the tiger stripe pattern that was so popular in that period. the frame has one area of damage that is shown in the pics. I am told this is a fairly easy repair, but you be the judge. The painting is reverse painted directly on the glass. It has started to peel in several areas, the worst I have shown in the pics. In my opinion the pics make it look worse as they are close ups under bright lighting. If it is hanging on display it is almost not noticable. This would make a great addition to anyones collection, or would make a nice gift. If you need replacement vintage bubble glass, you go.
