Up for sale is a item I putting up for sale that makes my heart hurt a little inside...It was given to me by an individual who's father helped liberate Buchenwald German Concentration camp, in 1945...This small wood box was made with only materials within the camp...Some look to be food, stone, buttons, wood, and even the metal hinges are hand made...Box has thousands of small inlayed materiels, forming one large Star of David I assume, and many other stars, triangles, and other gorgeous geometric designs...Even has a rectangle designed area inside the top on the cover...Engraved 1944, and most interesting a small inlayed piece of wood on the inside bottom of the box that has been signed and, or marked with prisoner's number...I do not know the name of its maker...This was the largest camp, and alot of individuals were liberated in 1945, some 2700 or more...This is orginal, not even sure how one would want to repo this...This box must have taken weeks to make, months maybe...I am very humbled when holding and looking at it...Rest their souls...I can provide other pictures upon SERIOUS request...Its beautiful, its beyond any possible explanition....Thanks for looking..
