We guarantee this items provenance, age and authenticity as described below. Description: This is a pewter 3 inch votive tablet (Ex Voto) with a hand crafted copper bezel. Description: Once, King Sakya and King Koliya argued for the waterin Rohini River. Both claimed their rights to have water for their rice fields. The argument continued until both sides prepared to have a serious confrontation. Before a bloody situation would have happened over the water, the Lord Buddha came there to ask them for a reason. He stated that whether the King or water shall be kept. That enlightened his relatives to realize more importance of human value. The Lord Buddha successfully prevented the killing of his relatives. This antique statue was acquired by my mother, a Catholic missionary nurse living in Siam during the 1940’s. Some were acquired when visiting Buddhist temples near the hospital where she worked.
