The attractive illustration, depicting the U.S. toasting Christopher Columbus on the 400th anniversary of his historic voyage, was part of the Anheuser-Busch's exhibit at the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The detailed lid is pewter with a ceramic inlay.
