This lot contains 37 pieces of Bonrea dinnerware by Buffalo pottery. Bonrea ( named for Louis Brown and William Rea ) was produced from 1905-1916. Each piece has an ornate myrtle green scroll with pure gold trim. Each piece is marked with the Buffalo Pottery mark and Bonrea pat. mark. Most of these pieces have no cracks or chips but most have some stain. The stain, I am told, can be removed. Most of the large plates have very little or no stain and the smallest plates have the most stain. Below I have listed the quanity of each size plate, how many have chips or cracks and how many are badly stained. 9" plates, total 10- 8 with not chips or cracks 2 tight hairlines- very light if any stains 8" plates, total 6 - 5 with not chips or cracks 1 tight hairline- very light if any stains 7" plates total 8 - 6 with no chips or cracks 2 tight hairlines - 4 heavy stain 3 minor stains 6" plates total 11-8 with no chips or cracks 2 tight hairlines, 1 chip- 6 heavy stain 2 casarole dishes with no lids both with very small tight lines The staining I mention is not from food it is from age and light. As you can see for the age of these t is very little damage. If the stain can be removed you have 27 pieces with no damage and even if not most of the darker stain/aging is in the smaller plates.
