This auction is for a handpainted Buffalo Pottery plate from the Fallowfield Hunt series and it is "The Death" signed by L. Anna. Plate measures 8 3/8" and is stamped on the back Buffalo Pottery Deldare Ware underglaze 1908 with a blue number 6 or 9 (not sure which, depends on how you hold it!)Condition: some crazing, minor scratches on the front probably from silverware, some bleeding on the black line around the edge of the plate. There are some "dimples" on the back where the plate is not glazed. You can see these in the pictures they are evenly spaced around the plate so my guess is they happened in the firing process. All of these are quite normal for a plate this age but I have tried to point out everything that could be conceived as a flaw. No cracks or chips so overall the plate is in very good condition. Please look at all the pictures and ask any questions prior to bidding. Paypal only to U.S, addresses only please!
