Your bid is for this beautiful Buffalo Pottery item. I was just told (I thought this might be) that this item is an old 'slop jar' which were used 'back in the day' before we had bathrooms. Now I need to tell you that this item was never used as a slop jar - in fact, it appears to have never been used for anything. A very nice ebayer just gave me the following message: "The pattern for your slop jar is Cairo by Buffalo Pottery. These were the 2 pieces making up the 12 piece set." I must also tell you that the lid is broken in the back - see the last picture, however, this item displays well with the broken part set towards the back. And of course you could always display it without the lid. Then, too, there are some very 'crafty' people out there who can do wonders in repairing anything. I'm sure you could find someone who could make this lid look 'almost new'. I am 'throwing the lid in' to whomever buys this wonderful old and hard to find item. I believe I may have one or two more (different) items which have this same design. I will list this later. This item measures 10-1/2" wide x 28" in circumference; this item is 9" tall. This item has a lid, however, one side of the lid has a few on the back but it displays well as shown in the picture.
