Auction item is a built 1/32 scale Hasegawa Fw-190 A-8. This model has been painted with a standard German Luftwaffe camo scheme of RLM 74 and 75 on the upper surfaces and RLM on the side fuselage and underside. The underside of the cowling is painted RLM 04 (yellow). The cockpit interior is RLM 66 (dark gray) and the wheel wells are RLM 02. Cockpit handles, buttons, and knobs are detailed with various colors and dry brushed with aluminum buffing compound to highlight edges and simulate weatd areas. Combing around the instrument glare shield is painted leather brown. Instrument panel is hand painted and finished with drops of Future Floor wax to simulate glass dial covers. Foot straps were added to the rudder pedals using painted Tamiya tape. Eduard seat belts and shoulder harnesses were used on the pilot's seat. Navigation lights are painted red and green on the port and starboard wing tips, respectively. Propeller is painted RLM 70 black-green. Canopy is not glued on and can be positioned onpened or closed. The model was built with four MG151/20 20mm cannons in the wings (2 per side). These guns have been drilled out to simulate hollow gun barrles. The two MG131 13mm machine guns from the kit on top of the engine cowling were replaced with hollow brass rods. An aux. fuel tank is glued to the belly rack of the plane. Decals are from EagleCals set #21 and depict "Red 1" flown by Lt. Hans Dortenmann, Staffelkapitan 4./JG 54, in late June 1944, around Villacoublay, France. Will ship to the US and Canada. Buyer will pay for shipping by USPS Priority Mail or UPS. The new USPS rates have made UPS look pretty good lately. I will pay for the shipping insurance; no Parcel Post. PayPal or Money Orders only. If payment for purchased item is not received within 14 days, the item will be returned to auction. E-bay will over estimate the shipping cost, more likely than not. Thanks for visiting this auction.
