The History of this authentic tank....... In February 1991 Coalition Forces invaded Iraq in order to liberate Kuwait in Operation Desert Storm. Among the US Army Units was the 1st Cavalry. On February 26, General Norman Schwarzkopf gave the word: "Send in the 'FIRST' team. Destroy the Republican Guard..." The 1st Cavalry drove 300 kilometers through Iraq to the border of Kuwait. M1A1 tanks equipped with mine plows led the way through Iraqi mine fields & over entrenched positions. This authentic 1/35 scale model represents an M1A1 of the First Cavalry. It is equipped with a mine plow deployed for action. It also has an auxillary power unit mounted on the rear. The tank is finished in an overall sand color. It is weatd to show the wear and tear of being in combat. The crew has stowed their extra equipment, tents, MRE cartons, bedrolls, ammo cases, etc. all over the top, in the turret bustle rack & and on the sides of the turret. Interior details are visible through the open hatches. This model will make a fine addition to your collection of modern armored vehicles. We have shipped finsihed models all over the world & they have arrived in great condition.
