This is a built model based on the 1/35 WWII US Willys Jeep MB with driver #35219 from Tamiya. It is highly detailed, based on a considerable number of photos of WWII vehicles and current restorations. The model is approximately 4 inches long. See the photos that include a quarter dollar to show scale.Use the "Mouse over image to zoom" on the listing photos to examine these features: The engine compartment hood can be removed to show off the wiring and plumbing; the vehicle is lightly weathered, based on the expectation that a Convoy Commander would stay on roadways and not go bouncing cross country; the wood of the Thompson submachine gun and the leather of the scabbard are reproduced; straps and brackets to hold the shovel and axe ("pioneer tools") have been added; the driver's pose and grip on the steering wheel have been adjusted for better fit; the driver has been painted with artist's oil paints, which allows blending and shading. The windshield can be lowered or raised. The wheels do not rotate. The outside rear view mirror has some moveability, not on purpose but because the thin metal wire is pretty much impossible to attach solidly to the plastic body.The spokes of the steering wheel have been broken in the process of adjusting the driver's posture.
