Authentic early Bulgarian German K98 combat figthing dagger completed with scabbard . Both dagger and scabbard are in very good condition. With normal traces of usage. During the WWII Bulgarian Army was supplied with all kind of military equipment by its allies Germany and Austria. After the war all German bayonets Mauser K98 left were used again like this new model Bulgarian combat trench fighting knifes K98. Initialy in ‘50s they were produced only for the use of the Bulgarian Communistic landing troops. After that, during ‘70s-80's this model was retired and has been used by the other army units in extremly limited quantity - only on barracks duty. At the beginning of the ‘80s they were replaced by the AK 47 bayonets. Only few of the Mauser remakes survived the communist regime. They are quite rare in present days. There are known two different types of this combat knife: with leather and with chrome plated iron K98 scabbard. Here we offer a genuine chrome plated scabbard landing troops knife. The grip has bakelite on both sides - remake of K98. The knife comes with chrome plated scabbard. There is some rust inside the scabbard. Extremely rare combat knife in authentic condition.
