Large Vintage Advertising Print: BULL DURHAM Smoking TOBACCO (Framed)! Very nice ad print for collecting in the tobacco, country or black americana categories. -- Old print - Framed in old dark oak frame. .............. CONDITION: is good, looks like there is some slight fading near the bottom - it is in its' ORIGINAL frame, ORIGINAL backing in place*. I can feel the old nails thru the paper {some of the nails are missing, but all is solidly in place} -- there is a slight split on the backing at the back top edge. ~~~ *This old backing is black paper; like was used in the 1930's - 1940's framed prints I have had in the shop. It is similar in weight & texture as today's kraft paper frame shops use to back artwork. ~~~ SIZE: overall size is just under 20" x 28"' print size is 17.5" x 25.5"*. ~~~ (*Older prints were often in oddball sizes. New prints are usually done in uniform sizes i.e.18" x 24") ~~~ Little remark (upper left corner):, "My! It Sure Am Sweet" -- the kiss or the tobacco? Large remarks on the fence: "Standard for Three Generations; Genuine "Bull" Durham; Smoking Tobacco". ~~~ MARKED: "{K, H, or M}*etter Linus New York & Phila" lower right corner. *I had a hard time reading this & don't know if the 1st letter is K, H or M????? ~~~ Makes a very good presentation. ~~~ History: Purchased from Texas antiques dealer estate sale.
