Up for auction is a small collection of Civil War bullets put together by a friend who started this back in the 1960's and 70's. He is cleaning out his closet and is trying to find this a new home. There are 20 bullets in this collection, each identified and mounted in a wooden frame. While some are of the more common variety, there are some real gems in this grouping. Since he put this together he would like to sell it as one item so those interested in specific bullets will need to include the common ones as well. All examples are in good shape with minimal ground issues. The "Gems" of the grouping will have ID numbers (M&M) from the Mason & McKee book on Civil War bullets. The grouping includes the following: Round Ball, 69 cal. recovered from the wreck of the CSS Nashville sunk in the Ogeechee River near Savannah, GA Buck and Ball cartridge with the 3 balls fused to the musket ball Buck and Ball cartridge found at Chancellorsville, VA CS 69 cal.
