I purchased this sweet Eldridge Ayers Burbank painting at a consignment auction in central Indiana two years ago. I've conducted a little research on Burbank and discovered he lived an interesting life. DIMENSIONS: 18" (L) x 11 3/4" (H). DESCRIPTION: Oil on canvas (or linen). The painting depicts a quiet evening street scene somewhere in the western US (California, Arizona or New Mexico perhaps). The colors are vibrant and--while there is some crazing--the paint has not flaked off anywhere. I'm not an art curator, but I'd say the painting is in good condition. As you'll see in the photos, the canvas has loosed itself from the bottom of the frame in places. Please look at the photos carefully...I would be happy to attach additional pics (just let me know what you want to see). As you'll see, the painting is signed. I looked at numerous Burbank paintings online, and the signature here appears authentic (at least to this untrained eye). I do not want to misrepresent or oversell this neat little painting, so please let me know if you have specific questions. Thanks for looking!!
