This auction is for a signed personal check of Major League Baseball Hall of Famer, Burleigh Grimes. Burleigh Grimes resided in Trenton Missouri for many years. Long enough that Trenton named its baseball field âeoeBurleigh Grimes Fieldâe. When he lived t, my friends grandmother was his landlord. When his grandmother died many years back, they went through her items, and found a small stash of items signed by Burleigh Grimes. Unfortunately, t werenâe(tm)t any signed cards or balls, but t were several checks, deposit slips, and the like. The items pictured are the exact items that will be shipped. This is a great chance to get a signed personal check from a Hall of Famer at a reasonable price. This check is dated 10-31-1934, written to Dan Hyatt for $9.75. T are no tears on this check. The upper left corner is intact, it was folded during scanning. T is a tear on the fold in the 4th quarter of check, but still presents nicely. And some info on Burleigh Grimes.
