From an Estate Sale, offered for auction today is a very nice Butter Crock, probably Hull or McCoy made, that Advertises "WEEDEN Quality Butter, Sheboygan, Wis.". It's a nice beige color, completely glazed over the clay except for the bottom ring. It's marked on the base with an impressed USA, and above that it's very hard to make out but looks like a C 7, or maybe just a 7.It's in very good condition, and then some. T's not a crack or chip. T's a 1/2" by 1/8" spot inside that crock that is possibly a glaze flake, or simply an unglazed spot made during manufacturing. It's on the wall almost at the corner w it joins the bottom. Only other flaw is a partially blurry stamp. Can be seen in the picture. The top left corner of the box and the W is slightly blurred. Excellent piece to add to your Butter Jar or stoneware collection! The Particulars
Dimensions: 5 1/2" diameter, 3 3/4" tall Condition: EXCELLLENT!
Continental US Shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Insurance additional and recommended. Be aware the post office now charges for packages by size. Any box with one side larger than 12" is charged at a premium rate. Good packaging frequently puts items into larger boxes, thus a higher shipping rate.
I do my best to research so I can provide you with an accurate description of the item. Isometimes miss the mark and name an item something it's not. If you see I've done this, please email me the correct information and I'll modify my listing.
I wrap my packages the best I can but sometimes things happen. I can't be responsible for an item once it leaves my hands, so please consider insurance.
