Agehana (Papilio) elwesi - MALE Species Information: Agehana (Papilio) elwesi is a rare and bizarre member of the Swallowtail family found only in eastern and central China. This unique butterfly has amazing paddle-shaped tails on the hindwing that can be seen in only one other butterfly, its Taiwanese cousin, Papilio maraho. Like many Chinese butterflies, it is exceedingly difficult to find good quality specimens of Papilio elwesi. This amazing A1 quality specimen is a true prize and a must for the serious collector.
