description: A handsome stoneware jar from the hand of legendary American potter Byron Temple. This jar was produced at Temple's first studio in Lambertville, NJ. According to , Temple studied with Bernard Leach and exhibited at the Syracuse Nationals in 1960, 1962, 1964 and 1968. The jar is glazed to the interior/exterior and probably had a cork stopper as is common with his jars of this size and configuration. Clearly signed with Temple's well known mark. Slightest of wear and minor crazing near the base but no other conditional concerns. Sure to make a great addition to your collection. Moderate opening bid with reasonable reserve.
