Byzantine silver cross with second cross engraved deeply in the surface. Impresses a distinct cross in wax. A ge: 11th-15th Century A.D. Found in the UK. Condition: Intact, no repairs or restoration. Dimensions: 36 tall X 23m wide Weight: 7grams About me: It all started for me in 1966-68 when I served as a Navy Journalist aboard the USS SPRINGFIELD (CLG-7) homeported in Villefranche-Sur-Mer on the southern coast of France. I bought coins & artifacts from coin dealers and antique shops in every country surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. I have been collecting Roman and Greek artifacts and silver coins for over 40 years, with a special interest in the "oddest things". I explore the Mojave Desert in Southern California for gold, turquoise, tar pit fossils, meteorites and solitude....
