Please consider for auction the following: A magnificent hand carved ivory statue of Blessed Virgin Mary. Her eyes, nose, mouth and curls of hair below her mantle are exquistely carved. Her robes are draped over arms and shoulders in a most elegant fashion with beautiful folds. All fingers and toes are perfectly intact. This statue is an unusual 7 inches tall with a 1 inch wooden pedestal. Many antique carved ivory pieces of this quality are often 5 inches to 6 inches tall. This ivory Madonna is exceptional in every way.
