Circa 1900 Postcard Crew STEAMER SUSIE Ship Dawson Canada As in all of our auctions- No reserve We are offering a very sharp and crisp antique postcard showing the crew of the Canadian Steamer "Susie" in Dawson, Yukon Territory. According to research, the captain of the ship was Charles Wolf, front center. He was nearly killed by a lightening strike in 1897. This rare late 1800s or early 1900s postcard is postally unused. It was published by Zaccarelli's Bookstore, and printed in Great Britain. I see no dot patterns. So I believe this was printed using the Albertype process, which created a near photo quality image. The bottom photo is an archived Alaska Historical Society image of the ship docked at Eagle Alaska, a town bordering Alaska and The Yukon Territory. The bottom photo is a sample only, and not included in the auction. Worldwide shipping calculator below. Check out our Ebay Store: Please take a stroll through our Ebay store.
