This wonderful French table features elaborate carved details and swags and dates to the early 1900's......lovely old painted finish has some chipping from age and patina in all the right places, highlighting the romantic ribbons and swags that appear virtually all over this table....oval top frame with acanthus leaf and beading surrounds old white, grey and taupe veined marble top......the swags are actually carved, as is most of this table...however I think t may be portions of the relief which may have some old gesso work as well.....t is one area in the marble top that has some old repair which is not uncommon with marble this old..... t may have been an old chip or minor split area which has been professionally filled.......this old marble top is very, very beautiful, and this does not detract in any way from this outstanding French swags table.......no missing carving or swags, all parts are strong and georgous.......make sure to notice the ribbons and flowers that run all the way down each leg and in the lower frames.....I guarentee this table to be even more beautiful in person......Measurements are : 37" x 23" top diameter, and 31 1/2" tall. This is an immportant looking table that would be lovely in entry, at back of sofa...or virtually any w you want to all romantic charm to your home.....bidders note, this is a heavy and substantial table that really should be shipped by Freight to insure safe delivery...it has survived thislong, these are so rare and hard to find, I do not want to risk any damage to this beauty.......at the end of auction I will obtain the best shipping costs to winning bidders address and bill for actual shipping at that time..... shipping cost and packing BY FREIGHT within the USA is included in the reserve price of this table ....as always, I do appreciate your asking all questions before the end of auction, and thank you for considering another one of my very special ........sentimental antique treasures......

Because I have received so many emails regarding shipping of this table , I have continued to search for the very best rate by FREIGHT for all bidders. I was able to obtain a lower rate this morning, and have made an adjustment on the reserve price of the table deducting for this new lower guarenteed quote. I am hopeful this will be helpful to all interested watchers and bidders!
