C.F. Monroe Signed Wave Crest Antique Vase Very Good Condition This listing is for a very rare & beautiful C.F. Monroe signed Wave Crest Antique Vase. The pictures do not do this piece justice. It is extremely beautiful with the hand painted flowers on both sides of this piece. Each side has a different painting of flowers making it unique for the piece. This vase measures 3 1/2" wide & 7" high. I purchased this vase at an estate sale so I am not that familar with the wave crest name. Overall this vase is in very good condition. I did find what appears to be a hairline crack that is quite hard to see. It does not go all the way through but I have tried to take a close up picture of it so you can see what I am talking about. T also seems to have what appears to me to be a few lead marks around the bottom of the piece. I did not want to fool with it not knowing if I would damage the piece. I have tried my best to describe this vase accurately. I am not an expert but I have been told that this vase should have handles & a base. Another person told me that t was more than one version of this vase & one version had handles but no base. I do not see were t were ever handles on this vase & I have examined it carefully, but I could be wrong. As far as the base, it seems like the flowers go down too low for a base, but again, I could read more
