Morley" (Painted around 1920) (Vintage Egypt, Egyptian subject matter) SIZE: aprox 21.5x16.5 framed, 19x14 unframed MEDIUM: watercolor CONDITION: watercolor is bright and well kept condition. A small scrape can be seen in the sky area (shows up as white in the photos)..please see photos of this area of the paper (small restoration may be needed on this spot). Frame has wear around the edges due to age (please see photos) -appears to be original to the painting, antique frame included. Has not been removed or examined outside of frame. REF: Fine antique Egypt Egyptian subject matter watercolor. Finely painted with superb detail and color. In the distance are pyramids and in the foreground are four bedouins on camel. Sharp desert landscape in Egypt...with strong attention to detail and realism. Likely the work of English and California painter, Joseph Conrad Morley (1866-1929) - further research is needed. Signed lower right, "JC Morley". Circa 1920, all original components from the period.
