Striking Syracuse China Nature Study Poppies plate is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, cracks or crazing. I do not see any utensil marks. T are a number of tiny factory glaze pits and a pin head size glaze skip which seems to be normal for this pattern. This hand painted plate displays beautifully. (the wide band on background is deep olive green, poppies are yellow, blue and mauve)

These plates were made for the famous Homestead Hotel in Virginia which was owned by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad.
