This item up for bids is a very unique piece. Its a dated 1966 US Military Combat Rations Meal. This meal is a rarity now days. Everything in this Meal is original, full, and complete. Nothing had to be restored in the meal. We did touch up the box a bit because of other meals in the case which had leaked against this one. This meal is a pre 1967 meal so the accessory pack has the smokes in it. This meal is not for consumption, and you must be 18 to purchase this one. This original Vietnam Vintage Meal is a queen of the collectables. Its a very clean and complete Beef Meal with all the original items including the P-38 Shelby still in the original wrapper. This meal contains the following items. Beef with Spice Sauce - packaged by the North American Packaging Corp. located in Boston Mass in the 1960s. This side seam can is still very wholesome and tight. The Morton House Kitchens was owned and operated by the Nelson family. No longer packaging. Karl Hershey Nelson and Wealtha Harding were natives of Nebraska City and lifelong residents. They both graduated from Nebraska City High School and from the University of Nebraska. After returning to their hometown, they married and settled down to raise a family. Mr. Nelson worked for many years for Otoe Food Products Co. (later Morton House Kitchens), eventually becoming its president. Both Mr. and Mrs. Nelson loved their hometown and supported its growth and development while they were alive.
