Up for auction is an early handcolored lithograph "Family Register" published by N. Currier that has been used by the Elliott family based in Manchester, Connecticut. This handcolored lithograph was published by Nathaniel Currier(Currier & Ives). It is an early "Family Register" published by the company before Ives became a partner. Printed on the bottom left of the "Family Register" is "Lith. & Pub. by N. Currier" and on the right bottom right side of the print is the address "152 Nassau St. cor. of Spruce N.Y.". This places the age of the lithograph as being between 1838 and 1856. So I have stated circa 1840's. Information is filled in for the Elliott family using an ink pen. The parents are: George Augustus Elliott and Hannah Peters. The names and birth dates for their 10 children are filled in. T is also some information on when they married and to whom and some information on when and w they died. Three of George and Hannah Elliott's sons fought in the Civil War. George Frederick Elliott, James Peters Elliott, and Edward Augustus Elliott all served in Union Army. This lithograph is 13 1/2" by 18" in size. This N. Currier lithograph "Family Register" is in good condition, with some browning to the paper and edge tears. The edge tears have been carefully repaired on the back, using tissue.
