UP for auction is an Antique Highly Carved and Engraved Double Barrel Shotgun Stock with 24k GOLD trim . STOCK ONLY NO BARREL in this auction. This stock came from Pritzwalk Germany in the mid 1800's. Which was Prissia when this stock was made. The butt of the stock has a carved Cheek rest and a bird, deer, flowers, trees etc., carved into the left side and and ornate design on the right side. The front of the forearm is carved into a DOG head with artificial eyes . I am not sure of the type of wood but it may be burl . The trigger guard is half steel and half Carved Bone . All the metal is highly engraved with 24k Gold trim. (see photos) Both hammers are engraved to look like fish . It also has 2 manual safetys for the hammers. The metal may be Damascus. I am just guessing because the barrel is damascus. At the time of the making of this stock it must have been very expensive and time comsuming to make.

CONDITION: The condition of this stock is excellent for being well over 150 years old. It does have two cracks behind the hammers but the stock is solid and they do not interfere with it as I can see.
